The European Conference on Developmental Psychology (ECDP) is an annual event that brings together scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to discuss the latest developments in the field of developmental psychology. At the 2023 conference, held in Turku, part of our research team had the opportunity to present papers based on systematic literature reviews conducted as part of our PEERSolvers project.
The three papers were presented on August 31st as part of the ‘Problem-solving and cognitive understanding’ thematic session at the Logomo cultural venue. The presentations by Tijana Nikitović, Ksenija Krstić, and Ivana Stepanović Ilić illuminated various facets of collaborative problem-solving in educational contexts, from the role of emotional intelligence to the use of digital resources and the distinguishing characteristics of productive problem-solving groups among adolescents. After the presentations, authors had the opportunity to engage in fruitful discussions with peers on the issues surrounding collaborative problem-solving within the educational context.
Here you can read the conference papers titled ‘Collaborative Problem-Solving in the Educational Context: The Role of Emotional Intelligence’ (presented by Tijana Nikitović), ‘To use or not to use: role of digital resources in adolescents’ collaborative problem solving – a literature review’ (presented by Ksenija Krstić) and ‘What differentiates productive from unproductive adolescent groups engaged in collaborative problem-solving: A Qualitative Systematic Review’ (presented by Ivana Stepanović Ilić).
The PEERSolvers project, “The PEER model of collaborative problem solving: Developing young people’s capacities for constructive interaction and teamwork – PEERSolvers” was financed by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia within the IDEA program (#7744729).
